Since Østen kicked off 2024 with his debut single 'Regn,' the Aarhus-based singer and songwriter has been busy. The single was named P3’s Ugens Uundgåelige, received positive attention from several influential media outlets, and has, at the time of writing, surpassed 3 million streams on Spotify.
Østen followed up with two more singles before releasing his debut album 'Daylight' on October 25. The album explores themes of rootlessness, depression, and the fear of loss, forming a deeply personal narrative about Østen’s life – told through unique lyrics and powerful productions.
The album was well received by critics: Soundvenue included it on their list of the best Danish albums of the year, while Gaffa praised Østen’s songwriting talent and "grand and well-crafted productions."
