FAQ

Where do I exchange my ticket to a festival-wristband?

This year’s ticket exchange is located in the bottom of the arcade in Aarhus Congress Center on Margrethepladsen 1, 8000 Aarhus.

What is the opening hours for the ticket exchange?

Opening hours:

Thursday: 4:00pm – 10:00pm

Friday: 11:00am – 10:00pm

Saturday: 11:00am – 10:00pm

Can I get a refund on my ticket if SPOT 2023 gets cancelled?

Naturally, if SPOT 2023 in its entirety is cancelled, we’ll refund all tickets. If the entire festival isn’t cancelled, we only refund tickets under special circumstances. If you’re in doubt, feel free to write to us at billet@spotfestival.dk.

Can I bring my child to SPOT?

Of course you can –  and admission to the festival area is free for children under 12 years of age if accompanied by an adult.

What if I have a disability and I need a personal assistant with me?

Having purchased a standard ticket or one-day ticket and upon presenting a valid companion card from the Danish Disability Organizations’ User Service, you may bring a personal assistant with you into festival area free of charge. Upon arriving at the festival just present the companion card at the ticket exchange in Aarhus Congress Center, and the assistant will receive a wristband corresponding to the purchased ticket unless another agreement (in writing)  has been reached with SPOT before the start of the festival. If you need to bring different assistants on Friday and Saturday, this must be cleared with SPOT before the start of the festival – you’re always welcome to send us an email at info@spotfestival.dk and we’ll help the best way possible.

How about events on Thursday and/or free events?

The festival’s main programme takes place on Friday and Saturday, but already on Thursday there will be concerts and events – mainly organized by a number of external organizers. Several of these events will be free of charge, but in some cases a SPOT wristband is required. In these cases, only wristbands for the entire festival will do – in other words one-day wristbands (whether Friday or Saturday) won’t give access to these events on Thursday. In some cases, it is possible to buy a ticket for the event at the door or from the organizing venue’s ticket sale.

Tickets for the concert with tv-2 on Thursday May 4th is only sold separately and an ‘All Days’-ticket for SPOT 2023 will not give access to that concert.

Where is this year's SPOT located?

In the heart of Aarhus, as always. It will be possible to see concerts at both venues and outdoor stages, exactly as you know SPOT best. The concerts take place at the area around Godsbanen and at the various scenes in Musikhuset. There are also concerts at many of the other Aarhus’ venues and on alternative stages across the city.

You can find a map of the venue in our app and see where the individual SPOT concerts take place in the schedule.

Map of the scenes are here

How many concerts are held at SPOT 2023?

There will be more than 200 concerts at this year’s SPOT Festival.

What is the capacity for the stages at SPOT?

SPOT Festival is primarily an indoor festival and uses Aarhus’s many venues and culture houses for the concerts. Ranging from 50 to 3,000, the audience capacity of the individual venue varies a lot, and for that reason SPOT cannot guarantee all ticket holders access to all concerts. Show up in good time before the concert/talk/etc.. It makes your chance of getting in a lot better. It is not possible to pre-book for the concerts.

What do I do in case of an emergency?

In case of serious accidents: Call 112.

During the entire festival, the Emergency Services Association’s employees will be ready to help the festival’s guests, musicians and others.

If you yourself are injured or see others who need help, contact the nearest bar, one of the festival’s many volunteers or the staff on the festival’s stages. They help you to contact the Emergency Management Association’s employees.

Can I buy food and drink at the festival?

There will be food stalls with delicious dishes and snacks, as well as bars where you can get your hands on cold drinks, both with and without alcohol.

The food trucks at the festival site by Godsbanen are Hansgaards Herligheder, Faour (falafel), Faour (burger and fries) and Thaifood

Is it possible to pay with cash at the festival site?

It is not possible to pay with cash at SPOT’s areas during the festival (ACC and the area by Godsbanen). However, you can easily pay with cash at the venues that provide rooms and stages for SPOT.

At the festival site it is possible to pay with following cards and payment options: Dankort, VISA, Mastercard, Union Pay, Diners, Discover, American Express and MobilePay

What do I do if I loose something?

If you have lost clothes, mobile phone, wallet or something else, contact the festival’s accreditation on the balcony in the Aarhus Congress Center. Lost property will be stored here during the festival. After the festival, unclaimed lost property is stored at the festival’s secretariat at Vester Allé 15 – and after a few weeks everything of value is handed over to the police. The rest is taken to the landfill.

Alcohol, drugs and moshpits

SPOT and the collaborating venues do not serve alcohol to persons under the age of 18. This applies to everyone without exception: the audience, musicians, delegates and volunteers. If you have consumed more than you can handle, seek out the festival’s security people. Help will be available here.

We do not tolerate the consumption of drugs, nor do we accept the sale of drugs on the festival grounds. If you are caught either consuming or selling drugs, we will cut off your festival bracelet and you will then be escorted away from the site.

Stage diving, crowd surfing, moshing and the like are activities that many people do not want to be a part of involuntarily. It’s dangerous and people can get hurt.
Therefore, it is prohibited on all stages. If the guards discover that festival guests are doing this anyway, the person’s wristband will be cut and they will immediately be shown out of the festival site.
