With just a few songs released, Thea Dora has already cemented herself as one of the most exciting new artists on the Danish electropop scene, kicking off 2025 as part of VEGA’s Udvalgte. Soundvenue was highly enthusiastic when singer/producer Thea Dora released her debut EP ‘Enter’ in May 2024, even including it on their list of the year’s 20 best releases. A rather unique reception for an artist with only four songs out, but perhaps there's something to it—since then, things have taken off at an extraordinary pace for Thea Dora.
Thea Dora’s music invites you into a universe of pulsating, forward-driving productions topped with seriously catchy melodies that make you want to dance and sing along. Her follow-up single ‘Something About You’ is an atmospheric and deeply heartfelt dance track that captivates listeners with a hypnotic rhythm and lyrics exploring the intense emotions of attraction and desire. Released in September 2024, the single gained airplay on Australia’s national radio station Triple J, Radio Fritz in Germany, as well as P3 and P6 in Denmark.
Now, Thea Dora is riding this wave of momentum with the release of her new single ‘New Beginnings’, dropping on February 21st. The song was created in collaboration with producer Ronni Vindahl (Kendrick Lamar, MØ, Avicii, Minds of 99) and mixed by Geoff Swann, known for his work with international superstars like Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish.
