Swedish-American artist Rhys first broke through at 17, becoming the most-played artist on Swedish national radio and going on a large-scale tour in her debut year. Seven years and 225 million streams later, Rhys returned to her childhood home in Portland, Oregon - where she finally rediscovered the musical spark that once ignited her career.
In 2024, Rhys returned with singer-songwriter single ‘Alice’, notorious for its appearance in the finale of Netflix hit ‘Young Royals’. This was followed by ‘Portland’, an independently released 5-track EP weaving indie, pop, and folk influences from her formative years. The project was praised by BBC6, NPR WNXP, Spotify New Music Friday, The Line of Best Fit, and hometown magazine The Oregonian, and led to a headline tour visiting all Scandinavian capitals - and now it’s time to take the stage at SPOT Festival in Aarhus.
