Prize for the Future is a Danish alternative electro-pop duo that combines edgy, inviting melodies at first listen with a reflective lyrical universe. Draped in dark synthesis and electronic beats, the band seeks authenticity and presence in a world that at times feels very foreign — drawing from the emotions, thoughts, and dilemmas that come with being a young person in the modern world. Their music highlights a cross-section between euphoria and melancholy that resides in all of us: Feeling alone even when surrounded by your best friends or feeling inadequate even at 1000 kilometers per hour.
The duo is set to release an EP later this year, with the first single, ‘The Nerve,’ already out on the record label Møs Møs. They released their debut EP, ‘Intrude,’ in the spring of 2023, and it was the group's first major release since their debut concert at SPOT Festival 2022, which GAFFA rewarded with four stars under the headline ‘Electropop-duo surprises to dazzling debut.’ The band has also received airplay on both P6 Beat and P3, recorded a cover of JoJo’s ‘Too Little Too Late,’ and released a music video for the song ‘Blindspot.’
