In the fall, iomfro released the album ‘Vent På Jeg Revner’. A poetic generational diagnosis exploring surrendering to one's own body and embracing uncertainty, infatuation, and care for others. On her debut album, iomfro takes the listener through 10 scenes in the accelerating culture of performance. A young person slowly unraveling amidst divorced parents, performance pressure, everyday sexism, and Instagram ideals, but also gradually exposing themselves, seeking therapy, and accepting love and care.
Drawing inspiration from family chats, pregnancy tests, and a trip to Føtex, iomfro writes songs about climate anxiety, career plans and love troubles. About family birthdays, medical abortions and infatuation. About people with words on their backs and anger in their jaws, needing to breathe before facing the world.
With her songs, iomfro presents a poetic generational diagnosis of being seriously sensitive and taking that sensitivity seriously. Sonically, iomfro draws from hiphop beats, campfire guitars, 80s synths, and danceable basslines. It all blends into an intimate pop universe where her distinctive voice gently moves over contemplative melodies.
