Knægt draws from a wide range of inspirations, spanning singer-songwriter traditions, melancholic pop, slacker rock, hip-hop, classical choir music, and jazz — all tied together by a love for strong melodies and playful lyrics that revolve around themes like existence, doubt, grief, and love. In Knægt’s universe, nothing is too ordinary or too spectacular.
In 2023, he released his debut album ‘Månen Danser Pænest’, which received high praise from media outlets such as P6, Jyllands-Posten, and GAFFA, the latter awarding it five stars. Knægt’s second album, ‘Forandring, please!?’, has just been released on Mermaid Records.
