The 24-year-old pop talent KEDDE grew up in a tiny rural town where everyone looked the same - and no one really dared to stand out. But he did - he just didn’t quite know yet what made him different. It’s only within the past year that KEDDE has found a safe place to land, where he now fully understands and embraces being queer—both within himself and openly with the world.
KEDDE has since found his home in Copenhagen - a place where it feels more acceptable to stand out, and where he can see reflections of himself on nearly every street corner. And that has made him brave.
In 2023, KEDDE performed at Smukfest, where he won the Tak Rock Award. He has also toured with Mekdes and Pil, performed at Copenhagen Pride on the City Hall Square, and played shows at Tivoli, SPOT Festival, Jelling Festival, and more. His song ‘Sådan må det være’ was chosen as P3’s Unavoidable Track at the beginning of 2024.
Now, KEDDE is entering a brand-new chapter with his song ‘Dagdrømmeri’. His music has always been personal, but it has never been this honest - or this queer. For the first time, KEDDE has found exactly where he belongs. A place where he feels understood, and where he feels mature and confident enough to write the songs that truly matter.
The vibe is “acoustic in the club”, and KEDDE has fallen in love with the guitar - especially the acoustic one, which allows him to tell stories in a whole new way.
