Herkedal is a 24-year-old Norwegian artist from the coastal town of Ørland, located out in the open sea along the Trøndelag coast. Herkedal's music can best be described as storytelling and intimate. His songs are delivered with a distinctive, powerful, yet also vulnerable voice. His musical universe draws inspiration from both traditional Norwegian music and incorporates rich string arrangements and electronic elements.
Over the past year, Herkedal has teamed up with Danish Tigerspring and Radiated Management and has signed a record deal with Warner Music Central Europe. He is now taking significant steps onto the international music scene.
In 2023, Herkedal released his EP ‘Wild Raspberries & Plum Trees’, which remains his first and only release to date. Additionally, in the fall of 2024, he embarked on a tour across Norway with his large ensemble, featuring strings, harp, and a full band, receiving great acclaim. With his incredible ensemble, Herkedal will be performing at SPOT Festival – a musical experience you won’t want to miss.
