Bending Backwards is a loud indie band from the Copenhagen/Århus underground scene. Both joyful and melancholy, all their songs are filled with memories and warmth. A wall of sound embraces the audience as an ecstatic ritual; the lyrics are about being kids, death, long-distance brotherly love and longing. Noisy and naïve; never hostile or sarcastic. The band is a bare bones trio formation: the tuneful Scott Walker-esque vocals of Frederik Vuust, backed by the loud, downtuned guitars of Halfdan Stefansson and lit up by the drumming of Johannes Jacobsen.
Bending Backwards will be releasing their debut album in December of 2025.
