The South Funen pop band ABSURD has quickly made a name for itself with its energetic live performances and honest lyrics. The band, consisting of five young musicians from Svendborg, combines familiar pop elements with a personal twist, which has earned them a growing fan base and attention on TikTok and Spotify.
With their single ‘Danser Alene’, ABSURD secured a spot on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart and inspired over 1,400 fan videos on TikTok. In 2024, they played more than 20 concerts, including performances at Jelling Musikfestival, Midtfyns Festival, and Byhaven at Pumpehuset. They have also opened for acts such as Blæst, Barselona, and PATINA, as well as participated in the Quasar Talent Competition.
Now, ABSURD is taking the next step in their career with a record deal at Mermaid Records. They are working on new music leading up to their first full-length album. 2025 will also bring a spring tour and a campaign against youth loneliness in connection with the re-release of ‘Danser Alene’.
