In 2022, Søn released the singles ‘Ka Ik Connect’ and ‘HD Sol’, landing directly in A-rotation on P6 Beat and Best of the Year lists in Berlingske and Soundvenue. The band has just released their third studio album ‘Solstorm’, which, according to Information, “shines bright in the Danish music sky” and makes Søn “a band that deserves an even wider audience” (Politiken).
‘Solstorm’ is a 2023 love story where heartbreak exists alongside the climate crisis and anxiety about the future, while we are hit by raucous rock, dusty indie-pop, hand-played drill, and choir music.
Since the Copenhagen-based band’s debut album ‘Det Skandinaviske Design’ (2019), they have demonstrated with their overwhelming live shows that Søn is in a league of its own. On stage, Søn is versatile, exuberant, and known to blow the audience away. With unwavering presence, the band manages to combine the intimate and vulnerable with the intense and rock-like, leaving the audience in a place where they are simultaneously taken by the hand and made completely unaware of what’s about to happen.
