Ni is a new ensemble exploring what emerges when classical composition, electronic soundscapes, and improvisation meet in an ambisonic world, spearheaded by classical composer Yanina Aspenkjær. The name Ni is derived from the number 9, and inspired by the shape of 9, the ensemble aims to spiral from a single idea to vast landscapes of sound through improvisation.
The ensemble consists of the versatile vocals of Carito Miino, the passionate violinist Julian Hartwig-Hansen, the deep sound of bassist Lukas Fisher and the ever changing landscape of Yanina Aspenkjær’s music. The sounds comes alive in the multichannel setup in Klubscenen.
