Ingrid Jasmin's electro-acoustic rhythms don't sound like anything you've heard before. Her music draws beautiful strings between the strong Norwegian tradition of folk music she grew up around, and the flamenco tradition, which she’s studied closely through her Spanish-speaking roots while living in both Cuba and Spain.
It's all delivered with a distinctive vocal and enveloped in modern productions. The result is enchanting. Like a Nordic Rosalía infused with the longing calls and string instruments that are so characteristic of Norwegian folk music.
Her debut single ‘Pilgrim’ from 2021 took the Norwegian music scene by storm, and her debut album ‘Luna,’ where she sings in both Norwegian and Spanish, earned her a Norwegian Grammy in 2022.
In 2024, she went all the way to the final in the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix with the song ‘Eya’.
