Holdo has, over the past year, made a strong mark on the Danish music scene with an organic, electronic sound that explores the boundary between different genres. With the ambition of embracing both festival and venue concerts with a live band, as well as intimate DJ sets at underground clubs, Holdo has already performed at events such as Distortion, Baggen, and Kaleido Festival, in addition to playing their first two headliner shows at sold-out Ideal Bar and Volume Village.
With the singles ‘Lost’ and ‘Simpel Melodi’, Holdo reinforces their position as one of the most exciting names on the Danish electronic scene. Both tracks merge the danceable with the atmospheric, and in “Lost,” Holdo incorporates a sample from ‘Ideal’ by kindred spirits CHINAH, creating an airy and insistent fusion of house and indie electronica. The melancholic vocals establish a space that feels both wistful and hopeful, interacting with airy synths and fragile chords. On ‘Simpel Melodi’, Holdo invites artist USSEL into this melancholic soundscape, and together they have created a beautiful and vulnerable track.
Right now, Holdo is current with the single ‘Intakt’ (feat. Will), which had a strong start on Spotify, entering the Top 200, as well as going straight into rotation on The Voice. The release leads into an upcoming EP set to be released this spring.
