With only a handful of songs in her catalogue, Carlina de Place has already made a big impression – not only on the Danish music scene, where several media outlets predict she will become one of the next big names, but also among listeners worldwide. Last autumn, she performed at Headline Flip, Roskilde Festival’s new concept at Lille VEGA, and played her own headline debut shows to sold-out crowds in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
From her very first releases, Carlina de Place has landed on some of the world’s biggest playlists. Her second single, “Reminded,” earned her a spot on Soundvenue’s list of the best Danish songs of 2024, while her fourth single, ‘What It Feels Like’, was named “Ugens Uundgåelige” (Track of the Week) on P3.
Carlina de Place made her live debut with a critically acclaimed performance at an exclusive Spotify showcase at by:Larm in Oslo in September, and this summer she received rave reviews at festivals such as Heartland and Syd For Solen.
On stage, she is joined by a talented band featuring Viggo Bandholm on keys, Maiken Thunbo on cello, Falke Rasmussen on drums, and Andreas Lund on guitar. With a captivating blend of singer-songwriter and R&B, she represents a fresh young voice from the Nordic region, capturing both hearts and minds.
Carlina de Place often writes her music late at night in her home studio in Nørrebro, telling stories about the trials and triumphs of youth with a wisdom that contrasts with her young age. In close collaboration with Danish, LA-based producer Morten “Rissi” Ristorp, her bedroom demos are elevated to new heights, giving the world a clearer glimpse of her extraordinary talent.
