The Copenhagen based singer, producer, composer, and DJ Astrid Engberg, released her second album 'Trust' in September 2023. Astrid Engberg's music spans modern soul, R&B, nu jazz, and modern classical music, inviting the listener into a world of both minimalist and heavy productions, personal stories, and spiritual exploration. Her enchanting voice expresses both genuine sensitivity and profound strength.
In the fall of 2024, she will take the critically acclaimed album (featured in Politiken, GAFFA, Information, and more) on tour to Danish venues. Her debut album 'Tulpa,' listed by Bandcamp Daily as one of the best albums in 2020, also garnered national recognition when she won "Årets Bedste Vokaludgivelse" (Vocal Release of the Year) at the Danish Music Awards Jazz and the Steppeulven for "Årets Producer" (Producer of the Year).
On her debut album 'Tulpa,' Astrid expressed her mental and physical recovery after a head injury that still affects her daily life over a decade later. On 'Trust,' Astrid celebrates intuition and motherhood with all its facets. She collaborates with various Nordic talents such as Maria Dybbroe, Tobias Wiklund, and J. Ludvig III, as well as Los Angeles-based Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, an esteemed multi-instrumentalist, conductor, and composer. The album took shape after the birth of her first child and was created with playful joy, openness, and gratitude over a period of nine months.
