Alice Ai has, in a very short time, established herself as a powerful voice in the Danish underground. Her musical expression moves freely between hyperpop, techno, and punk—paired with a thematic duality where something uplifting is always accompanied by something dark, and vice versa: from delicate melodies to distorted screams; from soft synth textures to subsonic rumbling kicks.
On her debut EP ‘d.a.t.a.d.e.a.t.h.’, which earned her a nomination for a GAFFA Award as Electronic Artist of the Year, Alice Ai dives into the dualities that shape life and identity. Drawing on themes of the body, sex, relationships, and self-image, she explores how hopelessness and courage, fear and strength, can exist side by side.
Since her debut single ‘still feel you’ in 2024, Alice Ai has made a name for herself as a strong live act, with support shows for Smag På Dig Selv and Øndi, as well as performances at Distortion’s Soundvenue stage and Frigjort Festival in Christiania. In addition, she has continuously organized her own highly attended pop-up shows in the Copenhagen underground, where she and her band have blurred the boundaries between sweaty club atmosphere and high-intensity punk energy.
Live, Alice Ai creates a space where both she and the audience can express themselves without limitations. A space where all the energy and vulnerability that builds up in everyday life can be released - a space where you can simply be present in the moment. The influence of punk and techno becomes even more evident live, and the uncompromising attitude that defines these underground scenes is reflected in a performance where pop melodies meet a sharp, challenging edge - welcoming punks, ravers, and pop heads alike.
