Like a yellow leaf falling in October, Aarhus-based efteraar gives sound and words to the moments when something lets go – and something new begins to grow. Balancing between dreamy indie pop and energetic rock, the band creates a sound that moves between hope and melancholy. With efteraar, you get both grand, stadium-like soundscapes and intimate, fragile moments.
Inspired by artists such as Tårn and Blaue Blume, the band has developed its own expression, capturing the nuances of autumn moods – both dark and light. A sound that feels like autumn itself.
The band is currently releasing the single ‘kommer når du kalder’. The song revolves around the contrast between the safety of home and the outside world, where demands, expectations, and social codes can be difficult to navigate. At the same time, the first single from the band’s upcoming album is on the way. In spring 2025, efteraar released their debut album ‘kalder på et øjeblik’ in collaboration with producer Søren Zahle (known for work with Peter Sommer and Lars Lilholt). The album focuses on the tempo, doubt, and emptiness of life’s final hours. Several tracks have received airplay on P6 Beat and P4, and the music also features as the soundtrack for PEAK.
Live, efteraar is an authentic meeting of energy and sensitivity. At the UHØRT Festival 2025, the band delivered an intense and packed performance.
