Salon Noir consists of drummer Sebastian Fammé, guitarist and vocalist Solveig Margrethe, and bassist Daniel Bust. Although a newly formed young Danish rock band, the trio has known each other since childhood. All three members were born and raised in the heart of Aarhus, where their rehearsal space is located in the garage of siblings Solveig and Sebastian's home.
Inspired by genres like dreampop and melodic shoegaze, as well as artists such as Slowdive and Danish Kashmir, Salon Noir aims to craft a contemporary sound, placing the rock waves of the '90s into a modern context with lyrics about human relationships in the youth of the 2020s.
After graduating high school, Salon Noir is ready to take on the Danish music scene. In 2023, they released their debut album, ‘For A Second’, reached the finals of the Fatter Eskil Prize, and played at Mølleparken during Aarhus Festuge and Blue Ocean Music Festival in Ebeltoft. Last year, they were awarded the Bands of Tomorrow grant, and they have just completed a 4-song EP, now ready for release.
