In 2023, Aalborg-based VILMA, whose real name is Marie Vilsbøll, released her debut album 'Kærlighedserklæringer', which received praise from both critics and fans.
Following the album, VILMA released a series of new singles, was invited on tour with Sebastian and the Danish Entertainment Orchestra alongside Karl William, Soleima, and others, and performed with the DR Girls’ Choir at three concerts in the DR Concert Hall.
Now, VILMA opens up about a new album, released in October 2025. ‘Sikkert Syg af Følelser’ is a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s search for great romantic love, with songs spanning over a decade. It is a timeline that ends in a hopeful and equal relationship but begins with songs about manipulation, dependency, and crossed boundaries. It is not an album about revenge or bitterness, but about finding a way out. The album also reflects an awareness of the mistakes one makes without realizing it, as well as a hope to break habits and patterns that stand in the way of new relationships.
In connection with the album, VILMA is embarking on an extended autumn tour, concluding at Lille VEGA in Copenhagen. The tour continues into spring 2026 in a more intimate format, giving audiences the opportunity to experience VILMA up close.
