Spleen United was formed in Aarhus in 2003 and has since released four albums. Following their debut ‘Godspeed Into the Mainstream’, they released ‘Neanderthal’ in 2008, which went straight to number one on the Danish album chart, while ‘School of Euphoria’ from 2012 earned both a GAFFA Award and a Danish Music Award. After a hiatus, Spleen United returned in 2022 with the singles ‘Eat the Rich’ and ‘The Real Thing’, and in 2024 they released the award-nominated album ‘The Blur of Zebras’.
Alongside their releases, Spleen United has established itself as one of the country’s strongest live acts, with performances on the biggest festival stages, countless sold-out shows, and packed venues - including KB Hallen and the Opera House.
Since their resurrection in 2019 - from the ashes of the burnt-out machines during the legendary NorthSide concert six years earlier - the group, in its original lineup, has played one sold-out concert after another and received a string of top reviews. In October 2025, the band began a new release cycle, and in the midst of working on new music, Spleen United visited the country’s four largest cities with a true nostalgia trip of a concert series, marking the 20th anniversary of one of the most iconic albums in recent Danish music history, ‘Godspeed Into the Mainstream’.
