During SPOT Festival 2025, the popular initiative Slow Meetup is once again being launched – an informal and safe gathering space for young artists and creatives from the music industry. Set in Palmehaven at Institut for (X) in Aarhus, participants are invited to let go of performance pressure and instead engage in authentic conversations, experience sharing, and collective artistic expression.
The aim of Slow Meetup is to break down the barriers that often characterize traditional networking sessions, where especially emerging artists can feel alienated. Here, everyone – regardless of experience – meets on equal footing, with a focus on community, openness, and mutual respect.
The program includes informal “Speed Meet” conversations, authenticity, open jam sessions, and relaxed reflection circles. Feedback from last year’s pilot clearly demonstrated the need for precisely this kind of community, where participants can simply be themselves – unfiltered.
Slow Meetup is for anyone who wants to build meaningful relationships and find support in an otherwise competitive environment. The project aims to create lasting connections that extend far beyond the festival – and to be the starting point for a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the music industry.
The concept was developed by Sacha Kjøller from Kant Agentur and Sean-Poul de Fré Gress from Bellerose Agency.
