NYSTALGI is a Danish-language folk-jazz quartet that, in addition to dynamic musical interplay, delivers lyrics and songs with depth and social relevance. NYSTALGI tells stories of loneliness and frustration in response to the climate crisis, war, and disconnected relationships in a fast-paced society. The songs search for hope and anchors in nature, supported musically by persistent, pulsating rhythms and warm, dreamy tones. With this, NYSTALGI aims to give the audience a strong sense of togetherness and a space to share these emotions.
NYSTALGI consists of songwriter, pianist, and vocalist Naja Holst Nymand, guitarist Jacob Kaaberbøl, bassist Sarah Pehn Engholm, and drummer Thomas Pilkington.
