The band began as a pause button from the commercial side of the music industry for three childhood friends, Shaka Loveless, Birk Nevel, and Lasse Boman. The singles ‘Lagoon’ and ‘Searching for Sunlight’ have been in heavy rotation on P8, which, among other things, has led to performances at Distortion and Copenhagen Jazz Festival, as well as invitations from abroad.
When creating music, Shaka, Birk, and Lasse would meet up, set up recording equipment, and jam their way to songs live on tape. The goal is to create a musical space where the presence, friendship, and sense of unity that come from many years of friendship can truly be felt. Sometimes, it’s enough to simply play the music you love because you can’t help it. That’s how it was at the beginning of their friendship - and that’s how it still is today.
