A primal force of folk music, Duga has quickly become one of the most talked-about names in the Swedish folk music scene. Often hailed for continuing the sound established by the legendary band Hedningarna in the 90s, Duga returns with a sound where darkness meets fierce intensity.
Their debut EP ‘Ørf-Our Extended Play’ has been praised by critics, nominated for a Grammis (Swedish Grammy Award) in the Folk Music category, and was listed by Lira Musikmagasin as one of the year’s most impactful releases, receiving the title “Darkest Release of the Year.” With a broad arsenal of acoustic instruments, samples, and loops, they create a heavy and dark sonic landscape that pulls you in immediately.
Following their live debut, the band quickly took to stages such as the now awarded Tuvas Blodklubb in Oslo, delivering raw energy, weight, and commanding presence.
