Chris Burton is a singer, songwriter, producer – and a self-proclaimed music nerd. He had his breakthrough at just 16 with the 2019 single ‘Love Letters’, which gained attention both in Denmark and internationally. Collaborations with international producers, a support tour for Christopher, and several releases followed, before he chose to press pause in 2021 to explore new musical directions.
After a break, during which he found success as a songwriter for other artists, he is now back with new music under his own name. A project he describes as the culmination of several years of immersion and hard work, and an honest reflection of him as both a musician and a person.
The first release was ‘Folk Forsvinder’: a melancholic, lyric-driven track about a broken friendship, produced in collaboration with Vera and Søren Breum. Featuring original demo recordings and personal storytelling, the single was notably selected as “Uundgåelige” (Track of the Week) on DR P3.
As a songwriter, Chris Burton has been behind several successes, including Mille’s ‘Drikker For Mig Selv’ and ‘Lyver For Min Dagbog’, Olivver and Augusta Schackinger’s #1 single ‘Ødelagt Byen’, as well as Ella Augusta and Ida Laurberg’s ‘Bedre Held Næste Gang’.
