Bjonko celebrates 25 years of Balkan beats filled with energy and unforgettable party vibes.
The Nordic king of Balkan beats is back! Together with his live band and a star-studded lineup of friends, he takes the stage for a very special 25th anniversary show.
Bjonko was born and raised in Copenhagen with roots in the Macedonian city of Bitola — and you can hear it. For more than two decades, he has been one of the most prominent figures on the Scandinavian Balkan beat scene. With clarinet and saxophone at the forefront, he creates an explosive fusion of traditional Balkan music and modern genres.
Bjonko’s music is both deeply rooted in tradition and uncompromisingly forward-looking — a hybrid that insists on community, movement, and ecstasy. His intense live energy has taken him to some of Denmark’s biggest festivals, and he is the winner of “Danish World Live Artist of the Year” at the DMA World awards.
He has officially been honored as a UNESCO Artist by UNESCO and the Danish National Commission for his musical work promoting peace and progress in the former Yugoslavia.
Alongside his own project, Bjonko moves freely between genres and collaborations — from avant-garde experiments to fusions of hip-hop and Balkan — and has worked with artists such as Klamfyr, Jokeren, Jooks, Red Lama, and Fallulah.
Look forward to explosive live music, smiling grooves, and an experience that will get everyone — whether you celebrate tradition or want to feel the future of Balkan sound — up from their seats and onto the dance floor.
Invite all your friends — your mom if she wants to feel young again, your dad if he enjoys a glass of rakija in good company, and your grandmother if she can still dance oro. See you on the dance floor!
