Dupont - SPOT Festival

Dupont is a creative space; a character and an image that made it easier to step on stage and share the music. The band has gone from five members to one, and Dupont has now returned to being a solo project - just as it all began.

Dupont was created during the COVID era and went on to win DR’s KarriereKanonen in 2024. The lead singer and songwriter behind Dupont, Mikkel, is deeply grateful and proud of the journey he has had with his band in Dupont. But we live in a time where it’s important to listen to yourself and stand up for your own dreams.

In March 2025, Dupont released the debut single ‘Night Terrors’. It’s one of those songs where the music speaks for itself. Dupont originated in Skive as a solo project, and growing up there as a young musician allowed space for deep immersion. For Dupont, it’s all about songwriting - creating a space people can step into, be amazed, and truly feel the music.

The future? Dupont is ready to surprise from here on out.

Dupont er et kreativt frirum. En karakter og et image, der gjorde det lettere at stå på scenen og dele musikken. Bandet er gået fra fem til en, og Dupont er nu vendt tilbage til at være et soloprojekt – præcis som det hele startede.

Dupont blev skabt under corona, og vandt i 2024 DR’s KarriereKanonen 2024. Forsanger og sangskriver i Dupont, Mikkel, er dybt taknemmelig og stolt over den rejse, han har haft med sit band i Dupont, men vi lever i en tid, hvor det er vigtigt at mærke efter og stå op for sig selv og sine egne drømme.

I marts 2025 udkom Dupont med førstesinglen, ‘Night Terrors’. Det er en af de sange, hvor musikken skal tale for sig selv. Dupont opstod i Skive som et soloprojekt. At vokse op der som ung musiker har givet plads til fordybelse. For Dupont handler det hele om sangskrivning – at skabe et rum, hvor folk kan træde ind, tabe kæben og mærke musikken. Fremtiden? Dupont står klar til at overraske herfra.
