Have you ever heard a song accompanied only by cello and double bass? If not, you should listen in. This unconventional constellation, formed by Dybfølt and Kira Martini, offers a much-needed counterpoint to mass-produced, fast-paced music. Here, you feel the music - you listen deeply and drift along with the waves they create together.
With the two deepest instruments in the string family, Dybfølt (formerly LuLo) has crafted a distinctive sound that both excites and moves audiences wherever they perform. Their playful and effortless interplay stands in beautiful contrast to the weight of the cello and double bass, and Kira Martini’s stunning jazz voice and warm presence bring a whole new dimension to the music.
Most recently, they released the album ‘Sange fra en væg’ - a reinterpretation of Else Marie Pade’s songs, written during World War II. And in the fall of 2024, they are set to release a brand-new album.
