As the cold and winter have truly set in, what could be better than warming up with exciting SPOT news. Together we look forward to the city of Aarhus being filled with music and people in May.
We have an early gift ready, revealing the first seven acts that will grace the stages at SPOT 2024. This initial lineup forms a strong foundation for a diverse and thrilling festival experience for all music lovers. We kick off with a good mix of talents from Denmark, Norway, and Finland.
The Aarhus trio AySay creates narratives about the unity of two halves as they unfold their Kurdish-Danish sonic universe. Rising star URO captivates the audience with his honest and soulful take on urban pop music, while the quartet APHACA provides a musical blend of boys’ choir, 70’s synth, acoustic guitar, and indie drums—a recipe that just works.
The program’s first Norwegian touch comes in the form of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist HILLARI, delivering melodic and authentic R’n’B and soul. From Finland, we have singer and songwriter Joalin, who blends Nordic melancholy with Spanish Latin rhythms – a combination you didn’t know you were missing but won’t be able to live without.
Rune Rask usually travels as one-third of a trio, but for SPOT 2024, he performs as a solo act, promising an exotic jungle of sounds from one of Denmark’s best producers. Last but certainly not least, we present instrumental euphoria in its finest form when Smag På Dig Selv asks the question: When was the last time you headbanged at a jazz concert?

Vi har nemlig en tidlig gave klar, der indeholder de første syv acts, der vil pryde scenerne til SPOT 2024.
