Networking Meeting for Trans People, Women, and Non-Binary Individuals in Positions of Power and Gatekeeping Roles in the Music Industry

In this talk, we will discuss the potentials and risks involved when women and other gender minorities gain gatekeeping power in the music industry.

The presentation is structured around a 'before' and 'after' of reasonable representation, and addresses topics such as unequal expectations, quotas, and intersectionality. Throughout the session, we will reflect on experiences and questions from the audience to harness the potential for knowledge-sharing among participants.

Tara Skadegaard Thorsen
Tara Skadegaard Thorsen is a specialist in corporate social responsibility, where she advises, among others, the music industry. Tara’s work began from a more activist background, as she co-founded the activist group for anti-discrimination and decolonization in higher education, FRONT, in 2016 while studying philosophy at the University of Copenhagen. Since then, she has been active in the media and public debates—including appearances on P1 Morgen, P1 Debat, TV2 News, DR2 Deadline, and more—discussing discrimination and decolonization in educational institutions. She frequently contributes to journals, magazines, and news media on topics such as sustainability, human rights, and discrimination.

This event is for women and gender minorities in positions of power or gatekeeping roles within the music industry.
