SYL is a piercing live band that emerged during a time without live music. This Copenhagen-based Post-Hardcore band blends the best of the punk world with influences from Noise Rock and Hardcore. The band originated when two friends, Andreas Grønne (drums) and Benjamin Clemens (vocals), woke up after a serious binge on Norwegian punk and Finnish peppermint liqueur and realized that both had the word "SYL" tattooed prominently across their chests. The details of why exactly the word "SYL" had to be immortalized in ink remain shrouded in haze, but what they did have now was the name of the band they didn't yet know would exist.

The lyrical universe touches on everything from the anxieties of youth to masculinity and vulnerability, while Benjamin's aggressive vocals weave a melodic thread through the noisy backdrop. With a forceful expression and their hard-hitting melodic punk, SYL takes you into a world that encourages letting emotions flow freely.
