Anton Severin Norup
Anton Severin explores improvised electronic music through a custom-built, guitar-controlled software system. The guitar acts as both instrument and controller: its live input is analyzed in real time and translated into data that drives a network of sound-generating software and hardware. His performances are structured as sequences of distinct parts—self-contained “sound worlds” with their own algorithms, textures, and behaviors. These frameworks shape how the system responds to the guitar, creating open environments for exploration and improvisation. Simple dogmas and graphical notation guide the guitar playing in each section. Within these unlimitations, the performance unfolds as an exploration of the interaction between human gesture and computed translation, balancing control and unpredictability in real time.
Mammut
Mammut (Mammoth) is a very fresh duo project between the two friends Adam Spanggaard and Jonas Rasmussen. As warm and gentle as the mammoth initially seems, it can also be fiercely defensive when needed. Respect for massive power, resilience, and steadiness in movement are among the key lessons this ancient creature offers. These ideas serve as the foundation for our compositions, where we explore contrasts between fragility and force, stillness and momentum. Through a blend of organic and electronic elements, we aim to evoke the mammoth’s presence—both its quiet wisdom and untamed strength :)
Pater
Pater is an experimental pop band. We are right now in the process of writing songs for, and recording an album. At the same time we are preparing a show for Northside Festival a month after SPOT. I would like to invite the audience into the process of creating this concert. A show with thought and structure, but also with a lot of freedom as musicians to improvise and react to the specific feelings and situation. As the songwriter in Pater I think a lot about how I convert my personal feelings and experiences to a musical language that can move other people. I would like to show the small audience how we work with costumes, different music parameters and performance to help convey the stories we would like to share. Pater is a band that thrives on the live-experience - connecting closely to our audience - for us to be able to play our performance in such an intimate space would be really exciting for us, and I think both intense and soothing as an audience.
