From his room in Helsingør, the 23-year-old rapper, singer, and producer Oskar Elholm has spent seven years crafting a sound that is difficult to compare to anything else on the Danish music scene. From his debut single ‘Samme side’—which has amassed over 1.5 million streams to date—to his debut EP ‘Alt Jeg Ved’, ozzy continues to challenge the conventions of what hip-hop can sound like.
ozzy’s journey into music began in 8th grade, during the SoundCloud era, which served as his entry point into the world of music. While he has moved on from the sound of those early days, the desire to create his own distinct project remains strong. The fusion of hip-hop and the R&B sound from the early 2010s has left a clear mark on ozzy’s music, drawing inspiration from artists like Kaytranada, Don Toliver, and tendai.
