With their debut album ‘Magnolia’ and singles such as ‘Sitt Ner (Lilla Jag)’ and ‘Älskar Dig (Oändligt Föralltid)’, Nektar established themselves in record time as one of Sweden’s most celebrated and talked-about bands. The Gothenburg-based group quickly became a natural fixture on the Swedish indie rock scene, building a fanbase marked by a level of devotion and loyalty that is rare today. Since their launch in early 2024, Nektar have sold out shows across the country, been named “Breakthrough of the Year” by GAFFA, and received praise from Fredrik Strage, both on Nyhetsmorgon and on the podcast ‘Hemma hos Strage’.
In 2025, the band took further major strides. After closing Stay Out West with a headline performance at Pustervik, they released their second album, ‘Om du behöver mig’ - a record that cemented their position as one of Sweden’s most influential new rock bands. The album was warmly received by both audiences and critics and was followed by a sold-out autumn tour.
