The masculine energy that has shaped our understanding of the world is in transition. DRENGE explores inherited masculine codes and seeks a more honest form of humanity – a vision of future masculinity.
Visual artist Frederik Valentin, choreographer Sebastian Kloborg, and composer Mikkel B. Grevsen collaborate with four dancers to challenge expectations of gender and behavior. Drawing on ballet’s strongly gendered tradition, the work nuances earlier one-dimensional ideals of masculinity.
The work will be staged at Teater Sort/Hvid in September 2026.
