Alba Akvama (b.1999) is an emerging songwriter and composer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. A recent graduate of Copenhagen's Rhythmic Music Conservatory, she is now debuting with her first collection of intimate and introspective songs. The music blends orchestral midi with open-tuned guitars and jazz-minded chords, drawing the listener into a minimal and loopy universe that feels all together conceptual, eclectic and sincere. The work explores being stuck in time, relationships and unresolved feelings, and the songs could be described as like a single stream of thought, with no emotional resolution, beginning or end. Alba’s first release is set to come this year, however most recently she’s been featured on the record of the artist GB, “Gusse Music’” (Posh Isolation, 2024), where she’s done backing vocals on a number of songs.
