In recent years, Aiba has made his mark with his unique voice and catchy melodies. The Oslo-born artist has been singing his whole life and started making beats in the basement of his parents’ home. His breakthrough came in 2022 with the single ‘Sympati’, which today has over 13 million streams on Spotify, and that same year he was nominated for P3 Gull as “Breakthrough of the Year.”
On Friday, March 20, 2026, Aiba will release his debut album ‘AIDA’, named after and dedicated to his daughter. Her birth inspired Aiba to write the album, which moves from his personal reflections on life, his love for Aida’s mother, and his responsibilities as a father, to the world his daughter will grow up in. The project is both a personal and musical journey, showcasing Aiba’s evolution from a young man to a father, and how he navigates joy, uncertainty, and new challenges.
On ‘AIDA’, Aiba has collaborated with the young rap artist Nor, while production on eight of the nine tracks is handled by AILO and Rik Pappa, known from UNDERGRUNN. Track three is produced by Swedish star producer Amr Badr, known for Yasin’s album ‘PISTOLER POSEI OCH SEX’. Aiba wrote all the songs himself, with contributions from Jo Marstein on the two most rap-oriented tracks.
In addition to his debut album, Aiba has already worked with major names like Maria Mena and Broiler, as well as emerging talents such as Lille Cæsar and Jon Ranes. In 2024, he topped the Norwegian charts alongside Marstein with the single ‘VIS MEG DIN VERDEN’ and followed up as a support and guest artist on Marstein’s Frihet Tour in 2025. “AIDA” is a warm, honest, and emotive album that invites listeners into Aiba’s universe - a place where music, love, and personal growth come together.
