Each year SPOT Festival work together with a number of musical partners whom presents a variation of artists as a part of the lineup for the festival. Some of these partners will have an Open Call to find their acts and to make it as easy as possible to know where you can apply and which one have Open Call we’ll update this page whenever there’s a new opportunity to play at SPOT 2026.

SPOT Roots
SPOT Roots is a new initiative and collaboration between SPOT Festival and TEMPI, presented at SPOT Festival in May.
The purpose of SPOT Roots is to increase the visibility and professionalization of the roots genre by showcasing strong artists within Folk, Roots, and Country on a platform that already brings together leading national and international music industry professionals. At the same time, delegates with a particular focus on roots genres will be invited to the festival, giving artists direct access to relevant new contacts and professional networks.
SPOT Roots was presented for the first time at SPOT 2025, featuring a handful of acts under the same concept. From 2026, SPOT Roots will be expanded with more slots for artists and bands from these genres, providing even better opportunities for growth, visibility, and new collaborations.
There is an Open Call for SPOT Roots from January 5 to January 23, during which artists and bands within Folk, Roots, and Country can apply to become part of the initiative. The criteria for applying are that the music must fall within the roots, country, or folk genres, and that the applicant is based in Denmark, Norway, or Sweden.

UMTO – Ungemiljøernes Takeover
UMTO is ready to take over one of SPOT’s stages for the 5th time, and they are now looking for who will be part of the lineup for UMTOxSPOT 2026
If it’s your music that will be flowing from the stage in May, now is the time to grab the opportunity and send in an application.
This Open Call is for young and upcoming artists. Only Danish acts can apply but all genres are welcome.
Deadline is February 1st
