Each year SPOT Festival work together with a number of musical partners whom presents a variation of artists as a part of the lineup for the festival. Some of these partners will have an Open Call to find their acts and to make it as easy as possible to know where you can apply and which one have Open Call we’ll update this page whenever there’s a new opportunity to play at SPOT 2026.

SPOT Roots
SPOT Roots is a new initiative and collaboration between SPOT Festival and TEMPI, presented at SPOT Festival in May.
The purpose of SPOT Roots is to increase the visibility and professionalization of the roots genre by showcasing strong artists within Folk, Roots, and Country on a platform that already brings together leading national and international music industry professionals. At the same time, delegates with a particular focus on roots genres will be invited to the festival, giving artists direct access to relevant new contacts and professional networks.
SPOT Roots was presented for the first time at SPOT 2025, featuring a handful of acts under the same concept. From 2026, SPOT Roots will be expanded with more slots for artists and bands from these genres, providing even better opportunities for growth, visibility, and new collaborations.
There is an Open Call for SPOT Roots from January 5 to January 23, during which artists and bands within Folk, Roots, and Country can apply to become part of the initiative. The criteria for applying are that the music must fall within the roots, country, or folk genres, and that the applicant is based in Denmark, Norway, or Sweden.

UMTO – Ungemiljøernes Takeover
UMTO is ready to take over one of SPOT’s stages for the 5th time, and they are now looking for who will be part of the lineup for UMTOxSPOT 2026
If it’s your music that will be flowing from the stage in May, now is the time to grab the opportunity and send in an application.
This Open Call is for young and upcoming artists. Only Danish acts can apply but all genres are welcome.

P3’s Næste ・P3’s Next
Do you dream of breaking through as an artist? For example, getting your music played on the radio station P3? And being exposed across P3’s platforms? For more than 25 years, KarriereKanonen has been a breakthrough channel for names such as Marie Key, The Minds of 99, and Pil. Now P3 is stepping up its efforts and relaunching KarriereKanonen under a new name – “P3’s Next.”
The selected artists will receive a much stronger exposure program, including greater visibility on P3’s platforms and in front of live audiences. We love new music at P3, and we want to make it easier to break through. That’s why P3’s Next has been created. A part of the programme for the selected artists will be a showcase concert at SPOT Festival 2026.

JJ Paulo Presents
JJ Paulo Presents is an initiative created to give upcoming artists the opportunity to perform under professional conditions in front of an audience eager to discover new music – and what better place to present the concept than to SPOT’s curious festival crowd.
The lineup for JJ Paulo Presents at SPOT 2026 will be selected through an Open Call, focusing on passion, drive, talent, energy, and diversity. You can apply with your music now.
Your application must include a short motivational statement (max. 250 characters), a link to the song that best represents your project, and a link to one live video (mobile recordings are fine). Please send everything to jjpaulopresents@jjpaulo.com. All Danish and Nordic acts can apply.
