SPOT Festival has entered into a partnership with the international showcase and music industry festival Fira Trovam. The artist exchange aims to strengthen industry connections, promote Danish music abroad, and generate knowledge about best practices and other music ecosystems.

Trovam Airlines is a new initiative launched by the festival project Fira Trovam to promote Valencian music on an international level. Through this project, the organization Valencian Music Office aims to encourage cultural exchange by bringing Valencian artists to key European music festivals and welcoming international acts to Fira Trovam in Castelló. The first stop of the initiative is SPOT Festival—a collaboration made possible through the Music Cities Network, of which both Aarhus and Valencia are members.

This partnership marks an important step in strengthening connections between music sectors across Europe. The agreement entails that the Valencian Music Office will send one artist to SPOT Festival, and SPOT Festival will send one artist to the Fira Trovam festival project in Castelló, which takes place from November 13th to 15th. By collaborating with Fira Trovam, Danish musicians gain the opportunity to showcase their work in Southern Europe, while Valencian musicians will be able to present their music in Denmark. Additionally, the collaboration explores best practices, fosters industry relationships, and promotes learning between the two music ecosystems.

“We are incredibly pleased to collaborate with SPOT Festival and bring Valencian music to the Nordic scene. This partnership allows us to broaden our reach, build meaningful industry connections, and exchange knowledge with a forward-looking music market. We believe that cultural and professional networking is key to the growth of our sector, and we look forward to strengthening this partnership in the coming years,” says May Ibáñez, Project Manager at Valencian Music Office.

At SPOT 2025, Fira Trovam will present the Spanish artist Xenia. The application round for the Aarhus-based act that will perform in Spain will be open during the month of July.
