Copenhagen Contemporary String Quartet invites you into a new world with Let Us Burn – intense, physical, and transformative. As an ensemble dedicated to contemporary composition, it brings Nordic new music into dialogue with international currents, with a focus on the body, sound, and identity.
The program revolves around sound as a transformative force. Through works by Tanya Tagaq, Bára Gísladóttir, Anahita Abbasi, and Louis Aguirre, Arctic, Nordic, Persian, and Afro-Cuban voices meet in a shared space shaped by intensity and transformation. The concert unfolds as a musical journey, almost like a ritual, from Sivunittinni, through Lof oss að brenna and Distorted Attitudes IV, to Ochosi.
