Spawner consists of Ella Moreno Risell, Johan Danø Hoffmann, and Jonas Engell. The trio describes the project as an exploration of how three voices can create a shared fourth – a study that unfolds through close vocal harmonies, buzzing with folk and country influences, while winding its way through punk- and grunge-inspired riffs. Three singles and a critically acclaimed debut album have been released by the rising indie-rock trio in 2025.
During November, the group was featured on P6Beat under the segment “P6Beat følger,” gaining substantial airplay and radio presence. They currently have momentum, and their debut album, ‘Air is Getting Stranger’ (2025), has drawn critical attention both in Denmark and internationally.
The single ‘Air is Getting Stranger’ was highlighted by CLASH Magazine, and Gaffa wrote about the album: “Spawner belongs to that genre of indie bands that can make you hallucinate an extra member. Even though the music on their debut album ‘Air is Getting Stranger’ often consists of swirling guitar landscapes, thunderous drumming, and ethereal vocal harmonies, there are only three musicians in the band.”
