Faroese rapper Marius DC was crowned winner of the national Sement competition in 2021 and has since cemented his position as one of the leading artists in the growing Faroese hip hop scene. Starting out at just 14 and now 22 years old, the MC has, across three EPs, explored existentialism, heartbreak, and classic hip-hop braggadocio, all through the perspective of a young man growing up in one of the smallest countries in the world.
Having performed across the Faroe Islands as well as at Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavík, Trondheim Calling in Norway, and New Skool Rules in the Netherlands, the self-produced artist has built a reputation as one of the sharpest live acts to emerge from the North Atlantic. He will mark his first-ever show in Denmark at SPOT 2026.
With countless award nominations in his home country, coverage from Rolling Stone UK and GAFFA, and an unlikely co-sign from Danish superstar Tobias Rahim that led to a brief appearance on 2025’s TÓRSHAVN RAVE, there is little Marius DC has not accomplished.
While the past four years have seen him primarily working in his native tongue, 2026 signals a return to English. His upcoming release, The MZA EP Vol II, reintroduces Marius DC on a global scale. The first single, Free Gaza, finds the rapper taking a clear political stance for the first time in his career and highlights his evolution as both artist and producer: a Nordic voice with an international sound.
