TELUS is a young Danish post-punk group that takes to the stage with unpolished feelings. In the borderlands between post-punk, alternative and pop, an emotional vocal, hard-hitting drums, catchy melodies and atmospheric soundscapes melt together. The band has created a dynamic sound incorporating both uplifting melodies, heavy shoegaze-inspired pieces and vulnerable ballads about life.
In 2021 TELUS participated in the finale of the talent show Band Battle Skråen. Since then the band has supported acts like Patina, Søn, Jung and KALASET. In September 2023 the band successfully played a sold out release show at 1000Fryd for their debut-EP. The single ‘Apart’ (2023) has been broadcasted on P6 Beat and received praise from Bands of Tomorrow and Good Because Danish. The debut EP ‘Love Songs for Strangers’ is a collection of songs, and dives into the turbulent and meaningful relationships that mark young adult life in a fleeting age.
With a soundscape that unites nostalgic references and current innovation, TELUS has created a piece and a sound that explores complex feelings - from the uplifting moments of love and celebration to the more sinister aspects like doubt, heartbreak and mental health.
