As a tribute to the growth layer's function as a stepping stone for culture makers and artists outside the industry, the performance/hairdressing duo Shoking Studios creates the workshop 'The (new) Big 8'. By (dis)colouring hair - & eyebrows - they mark the attachment of the masses to the growth layer and make visible the fact that youth cannot and must not be trivialized.
