As the Danish live sector experiences increased growth, the need for talent development, professional skills, and effective recruitment strategies rises. At the same time, it is essential to focus on how the live sector can support open and inclusive recruitment processes that ensure the development of a more representative talent pool.
With Restage, Mino Denmark and Danish Live have recruited 75 minority ethnic young people for a training program over a year, which has brought new talents and venues closer together. The initiative has created visible effects and attracted both new volunteers, employees, and audience members in the live sector. The panel includes Erkan Cakmak from Sony Music Denmark along with three participants from the Restage training program. Together, they focus on how to support increased professional and representative development of the live sector. Along the way, The Artist will contribute insights to the discussion. The panel is moderated by the daily leader of Restage, Alexander Rastén Rydberg.
Panel: Erkan Cakmak, A&R/Sony Music; Helen Tesfazion, Tour Manager and former participant/Restage; Nica Larsen, VEGA/ALPHA Management; Yasmin Branco, volunteer coordinator and organizer/Aarhus Volume.
