Pleaser is steam rolling noise and singalongable tunes.
They are a punk band but also a band that – by way of the differing backgrounds of the four members (including members from Konvent and Slægt) – has found their own unique mode of expression. It is both catchy and impenetrable with harmony, dissonance, riffs and rhythmic shifts jumbling together. Pleaser chews it all up and infuses it with their own noisy but charming melodic rattle.
The songs contemplate themes of life and death, subconscious patterns, fear and desperation, but also growth, hope and love.
Their performance at Roskilde Festival last year got highlighted by critics and sparked airplay on BBC Radio 6. Pleaser’s critically acclaimed debut album was released in September last year.
