Lea and Samuel are siblings, and together they form the duo ORA. In many ways, they are completely alike, yet at the same time, they are each other's polar opposites. When 22-year-old Lea and 23-year-old Samuel write, record, and produce their infectious R&B indie pop together, they tap into a dynamic energy that defines ORA. Their music is rooted in personal storytelling, with Jonathan Elkær from Phlake as a steady presence in the producer’s chair.
ORA, named after their grandmother and meaning "the light of the sun," released their debut single, Bad Day, in August last year. It received praise from influential media outlets such as ‘Ones To Watch’ in the USA, Belgian platform ‘Dansende Beren’, and the UK culture site ‘tmrw magazine’, while their follow-up single, ‘Space Rock’, made it onto P3. In other words, there is every reason to keep a close eye on ORA in 2025.
