Every year, DR spotlights new artists in the talent course Karrierekanonen, and NRK does the same with the Norwegian career programme Urørt. But which role does public service music radio play when it comes to talent development, and what can we learn from the initiatives by our Nordic neighbours? This year the NRK P3 winner of Urørt will be presented at SPOT Festival and earlier DR Karrierekanonen has presented selected artists on the festival, too. What meaning does talent developing initiatives like these have for new artists? The panel initiates the conversation about the public service radio's contribution to promotion and exposure of new talents and looks at the future music radio in a time where streaming platforms and soical media dominates our music consumption more and more.
